Today was such a beautiful day. It was super sunny, and it really felt like Spring. Finally, I was able to wear my new Spring purchases and be weather appropriate at the same time. I've been eyeing the J Brand and J. Crew mint skinnies but they are $215 CAD and $144 CAD respectively and I just can't afford that right now. Luckily, I found a pair that are just as beautiful and comfortable from Zara for only $49.90 CAD! They also have gold zips on the side. I'm only 5'2 and since I can't hem these skinnies, I unzipped the ankle zips half way and folded them under. I'll be leaving for Hong Kong in 2 days! It's going to extremely hot and sunny. I can't wait to see my relatives and my sister though!

the perfect little crossbody bag: rebecca minkoff

Oh my god. I found my calling. Okay that's getting a bit ridiculous, but I think obsession maybe a better word? ...Okay fine there's no better way of putting it, I'm in love. I've been searching for a small cross body bag for awhile now just for casual outings and possibly nighttime and I think my search is done. The Mini M.A.C. clutch is just what I'm looking for! The chain can be used as a shoulder bag or cross body which is just perfect. I love the little stud feet on the bottom of the bag which ensures that the leather won't wear away near the corners. And the chain is detachable so I can easily use this purse as a clutch! But wait! Best of all, it comes in a large array of beautiful colors including deep cranberry, neon yellow, and periwinkle blue. I just love this teal color; it's very summery, but I think it can be used in the fall as well. At only around $200.00 CAD, it's affordable to me (as soon as I'm employed) and extremely versatile. This summer, this bag is what I'll be working towards!

I am way to excited for this transition from cold and rainy to warm and sunny. I can NOT wait to wear my new maxi skirts and shorts and summer tops! I spent the day looking for the crochet TOMS in my size. In regular TOMS, I'm a 6.5 but for some odd reason, the crochet ones run way bigger and I need a 5.5! I went to every single store possible and no one carries them. I guess I gotta put my name down and wait. I really want them! They're super cute and are comfy too.

Exciting news! Blue Ruby finally carries Dogeared jewellery now! The pieces are so dainty and simple which is what I love most. I've wanted a wishbone necklace from there for so long, but was reluctant to order online because shipping and handling costed so much. Now that Blue Ruby carries them, all I have to do is wait until my necklace comes in and save up! :)

I also checked out the new J. CREW that opened on Robson St. Instantly I spotted these mint green skinnies that had a gold zip at the ankles. Exactly what I am looking for. However when I asked an employee to search for my size, 26 in the stockroom, she took forever! Eventually I got frustrated and left. This may be because they just opened and things are quite hectic. I guess I'll have to go back and check them out again.

I'm loving the denim jacket for spring and summer weather. It pairs so nicely with a flowy top or maxi dress underneath or over some white shorts or floral skirt. I've been wearing this denim jacket for the past few days since the weather has finally warmed up!

new favorite store: brandy melville

Yesterday, my friend and I were walking down Granville Street heading towards Spank. On our way there, beside it, we saw this really cute store that we've never seen before. We walked in and I fell in love. The pieces were very beachy/boho and flowy and most importantly, the prices were very affordable! This store is called Brandy Melville and it started out in Italy and it spread to the states and now Vancouver has its very own store. I love how the store has personal signs to the city it is located in like above. The signs are local designations and school initials. I ended up spending so much time in this store and after browsing the online store after I got home, I'll definitely be going back a second time for some other summery pieces! Vancouverites, you definitely need to check out Brandy Melville, it's located beside Spank on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver.
